Jewelry Care

To best preserve your jewelry from tarnishing, darkening and preventing scratches, we recommend the following general care tips:

 • Store your jewelry separately from other jewelry when not in use. Ideally, we recommend to keep your jewels in a safe and dry place, away from direct sunlight like a jewelry box, a soft pouch or carefully wrapped in a polishing cloth.

     • Remove your jewelry before exercise, bathing and sleeping.

       • Avoid contact with household chemicals like perfume, sprays, hand creams, lotions, sunscreen and hair products.

         • Clean your jewelry with a polishing cloth to wipe away dirt and premature tarnishing before storing it away.

Please do not use silver polishing cloth to clean gold plated/vermeil jewelry as this may cause discolouration and wear to the jewelry.

        CARING FOR STERLING SILVER:

Sterling silver will tarnish naturally over time but can be cleaned very easily. Simple regular cleaning with a soft cloth and mild soap will keep your sterling silver shining. Be sure to clean the silver only and avoid contact with any stones, particularly pearls and soft stones such as opals and emeralds, as the polish may cause damage to these stones.

        CARING FOR GOLD VERMEIL:

Gold vermeil is an overlay of gold over a base of sterling silver, it's far more durable than other gold-plated options and can last for years. However, if worn continuously (especially rings) the gold plate can start to wear away after 6 months.

Remember to store your gold vermeil jewelry in a safe and dry place when not in use. Please remove before applying perfumes, lotions, or before bathing. Make sure that your skin is completely dry after applying any chemical/cosmetic products before putting the jewelry on to avoid tarnishing of the gold plating.

💡Tips: When your gold vermeil jewelry starts to lose its colour, don't leave it out in the cold. You can go to professional jewelers to have the piece polished back to silver or have it re-plated. :)

        CARING FOR NATURAL PEARLS:

Freshwater pearls are delicate and will easily scratch if stored next to other jewelry. We recommend to store your pearls separately and clean them after each wearing simply with a soft cloth to remove sweat, perfume, excess oils or dirt before putting them away.

Make sure to put your pearls on after finished spraying perfume or hairspray and putting on makeup. Be very careful with chemical substances as they will eat holes in the pearl nacre.
